Season 5 Launch: Featuring Golden Acres Organic Farm

We’re kicking off Season 5 of NOFO LIVE with a celebration of local roots—literally and figuratively.

Our first episode of the season features Golden Acres Organic Farm in Jamesport, a certified organic farm that’s doing more than just growing incredible produce—they’re cultivating community.

This family-run gem offers a robust CSA program and one of the sweetest highlights of the summer: a U-pick strawberry experience with four flavorful varieties that are as fun to pick as they are to eat. It’s the perfect outing for families, foodies, and anyone who appreciates the joy of farm-fresh grown produce.

But there’s more to Golden Acres than produce. Set on beautiful, open land, the farm is a destination in itself. From cut-your-own flower gardens to unique seasonal events like silent discos under the stars, it’s a space that invites you to connect—with nature, with your neighbors, and with the rhythms of the land.

We also talked about the importance of eating seasonally and knowing your farmer—a core value for Golden Acres and a growing movement across the North Fork. Their farm stand located at 652 Peconic Bay Blvd, Jamesport, NY 11947, is a one-stop shop for organic veggies, fresh flowers, and the kind of face-to-face conversations that remind you where your food comes from.
